About Jen Romolo

With a broad range of knowledge of the city she knows and loves, Jen Romolo enjoys working throughout the neighborhoods, rather than targeting one specific area. Serving buyers, sellers and investors around Chicagoland, Romolo, a broker with @properties and a Zillow Premier Agent (who was recently awarded "Best of Zillow"), is a longtime city resident with over 10 years of real estate experience under her belt. After joining the real estate industry while earning her undergraduate degree, Romolo made the leap to broker with the encouragement of her aunt, who had been in the business for 20 years. Since getting her start, she has earned a reputation as a genuine, honest and easy-to-talk-to professional who always has her clients' best interests in mind. In 2021, despite the pandemic, Romolo ranked among the top 5% of Chicago brokers (according to MLS InfoSparks data) for the first time. "I have always been an intuitive person. My buyers know that I understand their needs and that we have the same goal," she says, adding that every transaction begins with a consultation so all parties are on the same page. "I look forward to housing tours with buyers because, in addition to the excitement for my clients beginning their home search, I love the challenge of trying to find the perfect place that caters to my clients' needs and aesthetics. When looking at houses, I give my professional opinion on the functionality of properties while keeping in mind that taste differs when it comes to aesthetic. I give my buyers the necessary tools to make an educated, conscious decision and ensure that they are informed on each step of the process" In an ongoing effort to maintain a human quality to her work, Romolo hand-picks listings for her buyers instead of relying on automated searches based on loose criteria. "To the benefit of my sellers, I have always had an analytical mind and I enjoy the process of pricing, marketing and securing the best possible buyer for my clients. In addition to my own work with my clients, my company provides top-notch marketing materials and gives my sellers and I a lot of support throughout the process. When working with sellers, I ensure that they are always up to date on the competition and their stance in their market. Continuous strategizing is key to a successful and quick sale. From the list price analysis and preparing their homes to be market ready, to being there every step from the first showing to the closing table, I work hard to make sure my clients are comfortable and advised throughout their sale. " Romolo has also worked with investors regularly since she received my license. She enjoys the math and analytics that goes along with finding a property that will provide my clients with a comfortable return. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, seeing music, riding her bike, spending as much time in the mountains as a Chicag girl can and taking care of her five pets.

Jen was an absolute pleasure to work with during the condo purchasing process. My husband and I were first-time homebuyers and had A LOT of questions. During the search Jen was extremely patient, quickly figured out what was important to us in a home, and never pressured us to submit an offer. She is endlessly knowledgeable about neighborhoods and gave real feedback about forward-looking aspects like resale potential. During the closing process Jen project managed all of the stakeholders (seller, lawyers, lenders, etc) with ease, enabling us to focus on the task at hand while she kept an eye on deadlines and pushed other parties along. Jen is a Rockstar! She helped us navigate both the purchase of our new condo in the city of Chicago and the sale of our previous condo. We had been patiently waiting for the right place to come along for a few years, and Jen helped us build out a competitive offer on a place that we loved without breaking our bank. When it came to the sale of our old condo, Jen did thorough research to ensure we listed at a competitive price that would be attractive to possible buyers. Jen was amazing. We met her after walking into an open house in our neighborhood years ago and she just made it possible for use to buy our first condo. Starting with our initial conversation where she laid out the process to buy a home through to the final details of our closing, she was excellent at helping us understand what to expect.
