Robert, A good local Realtor will be your best option to assist you with this. Two home properties are typically rarer than a single-family home. Your Agent will probably recommend you get and keep a pre-approval active in case the perfect property hits the market. Most lenders typically keep pre-approvals good for 90 days and will update them quickly if you have not changed anything as far as credit or income without re-pulling your credit. You may need to consider purchasing a property and having another home built or moved there depending on your time frame and the local market.
