The buyers do not come knocking at my door right?

I am ready to start talking about selling my home ( I own). But I have looked into this in the recent past, and was completely aggravated by repeated and constant calls, people coming to my home and pounding on my door (not ok). How do I look into this process without all of that? I mean it was ridiculously obnoxious.

Typically, prospective buyers will only come to the property with an appointment. Yes, there are some overzealous individuals when the markets are hot, but that is a few and far between situation. Keith Jean-Pierre Managing Principal The Dapper Agents Real Estate Operations in ALL 50 States

I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience previously. Buyer's knocking on your door is unacceptable behaviour and I know I would not have been polite to anyone that did that to my home. One option is to buy your next home first and then sell your existing property while it's vacant. Another option is to not place a sign at the property but have it on the local MLS so agents know it's available but not the neighborhood. Plus, if you have the home listed with a local agent, there is no need to publish your phone number so all calls will go to that agent instead. Its their job and should welcome the phone traffic. Good luck.
