What do I really need to worry about at home inspection?

We had our home inspection and a lot of things came up, like 38 things that were wrong. We read the list and think most of them are small, like a window latch that doesn't totally work. The big structure things came back ok, but the air conditioner has problems. 38 seems like a lot of problems though. We don't want to buy a money pit, but also don't want to lose the house.
