Should I buy a condo in a converted church?

I saw a condo in a converted church. It's really nice and has great features. But is it weird to live in a converted church? I just don't know if I can do it. I also like this condo and maybe I need to get over it? What should I do?

How close is too close to a school?

We like this house and the backyard backs right up to the school property. There’s soccer fields that seem to be used often. Wondering is this is just a little too close to the school? Will it hurt our value? Or drive us crazy? Or is it a benefit to be close to the school and these fields?

Should I buy a condo by the El?

Oir leasing is coming up and we’ve been looking for a place to buy. All the homes our agent shows us need SO much work. We looked at a condo and it’s bigger and nicer than a lot of the homes we saw. The El tracks run right behind us. It doesn’t bother us, but I’m wondering if it will hurt our value long term. I also think this might be the best that we can do with our budget.

Do I need a real estate attorney to buy a home in South Florida or is a title company enough?

We just relocated to South Florida from New Jersey and are starting to look at homes. Up north we always had a real estate attorney handle every transaction, buyer attorney, seller attorney, closing attorney, the whole thing. Down here our agent is telling us a title company can handle it and most buyers don't hire their own attorney. Is that really safe? It feels weird going through a $700K purchase without legal representation.

I've been looking for Bidder with active NAID. Any contact on HUD isn't responding. Is there something more effective? I need one asap!

What are the requirements for getting a jumbo mortgage in a high-cost housing market?

We are relocating to the Bay Area for work and the housing prices are much higher than we are used to in Ohio. It looks like most of the homes we want will require a jumbo loan. I heard that lenders are much stricter with these types of mortgages. Do we need a massive down payment, or are there lenders who work with buyers relocating to expensive areas?
