I’m looking for Barbara Murray, who represented me and my husband Arthur in 1994. I would like to talk to her about selling. Thank you, Donna
What are the pros and cons of buying in a homeowner's association neighborhood? I'm moving to a new area where they seem more common. This is new to me and seems like an extra cost with a lot of extra rules. And all the shows on TV make it seem kind of ridiculous. I know that's an exaggeration, but still.
How do I compete with cash offers? I can put 20% down on a house, but I need financing for the rest. I have a strong credit history and in a normal market I would be a strong buyer. But I'm struggling in this market to get an offer accepted.
How do I make a competitive offer on a home without overpaying? The market is so tough right now and it's hard to get a home. I want to make an offer that will be accepted, but I also don't want to regret overpaying.
What are mortgage points? And how do they work? What are the benefits or drawbacks of mortgage points? Is there a reason why a lender would offer that option and another lender wouldn't?

Should I consider accepting contingent offers from buyers? I'm not sure how this process works. What if a better offer comes in after I accepted an offer?

How can I put a positive spin when disclosing issues with the home? For example, we've had water in the basement multiple times. We have done things to address the issue and we're pretty positive we've solved it. I don't want to scare off a buyer, but I know we need to honestly say what's happened in the home.
What do I need to disclose when selling a home? Is there a timeframe? If something happened 5 or 10 years ago, do I still need to disclose?
