Land for sale?

I would like to know how I can buy land. What are the steps for electricity and Gas and water be able to get. Also. Can a person with poor credit get the land with no down. I have my own home in Houston, Harris county. Will sell it after I have land and put a home on it. Can you reply to this.

Land purchases are absolutely possible, but there are some things to understand going in. Land loans are harder to qualify for than home loans, and most lenders want 20-50% down for raw land. True zero-down options are rare, especially with challenged credit. A few alternatives worth exploring are seller financing, where the landowner acts as the lender, and USDA loans if the land is in a rural area. The equity in your current home could also be a resource once you sell. On utilities, this varies by location. Before you buy any land, contact the local utility providers and ask directly what it costs to get electricity, water, and gas to that specific parcel. Rural properties often rely on well water and propane instead of municipal connections, and running a new power line to a remote lot can be expensive. Know those numbers before you close.
