Property taxes are levied on virtually all types of properties in the US. This includes single and multi family homes, commercial properties, and condos, townhomes, villas, etc. I've been in real estate for 30 years and do business in Florida. Condos and villas are considered "real estate" in Florida because you actually own something vs. rent it. Thus you have to pay "real estate" taxes.

Hi Pamela, a condo or villa in Florida are treated identically to single-family residences for tax purposes. Taxes are owed on all Real Estate properties.
