The house I like is in a top rated elementary school area but I heard that the county is redistricting next year. If the boundary moves two blocks over my property value could drop overnight. Is there a way to see the plan ahead of time?
Since we have to pay to refinance the loan and the interest rate is only about .5% lower, does it even make sense to refinance? When we bought they kept saying "date the rate" but now we're 2 years in and rates are still high.

My Realtor suggested a coming soon period for two weeks where we don't allow showings but build hype on social media. Does this actually result in higher offers, or is it just a way for the agent to find their own buyer before it hits the MLS? I don't want to miss out on the open market.

I don't want to pay the tax you pay if you put less than 20% down on a house but I don't have enough - can i borrow that money? Can i just have it rolled up into my mortgage or take out a different loan to cover the 20%?
