What to do-- agent's poor hygiene is turning me off?
I didn't meet my real estate agent in person initially, we only talked on the phone. I liked his responses and approach, so I chose to work with him to buy a home. It's been a few weeks of touring homes together, and his poor hygiene is really getting to me and grossing me out. It's to a point where I don't even want to view homes with him. At first I thought it was a blip, but it's pretty much constant. The worst part is his terrible breath, and he loves to talk about all the details of the house. Meanwhile, I'm trying not to puke. He has a lot of experience and I like his thoughtfulness and work ethic. But I just don't know if I can handle the smells and habits. What do I do???

Best way to get a financial gift when buying a home?

Can a family member pay my mortgage buydown?
We're trying to buy our first house. A family member offered to pay for a temporary mortgage buydown. It would be about $17K for the buydown. Are we allowed to have them pay the mortgage buydown? They're not on the mortgage and I know there's weird rules about getting financial gifts and buying a hosue.

How do I cancel a buyer's agreement?
We signed a buyer's agreement to look at homes in our desired area. We thought we were going to work with a specific agent, but then another agent was assigned to us. That agent is not a good fit and we want to cancel the buyer's agreement immediately and work with a new company. How do we cancel a buyer's agreement quickly? We are on a tight timeline and don't have time to let the agreement run out. There's also no way we want to continue with the current agency.
