I'm looking at homes in a highly competitive area of San Jose where bidding wars are common. I want to make my offer stand out. My budget is limited compared to others and I can't just outbid someone. How do I make my offer stand out in other ways?

I'm in the initial steps for buying a home. I want to know what's coming next and what to plan for. I've seen some pdf checklists for home buying, but is there something better than this? Is there something online that will walk me through a checklist of steps and prepare me for what's next?

I'm buying a house and want to have the property lines confirmed before I make an offer. I believe the seller is stating that the property is larger than it actually is. I want to protect myself and make an offer that aligns with the actual size of the property. So, how do I confirm the property lines?
