What do I really need to worry about at home inspection?

We had our home inspection and a lot of things came up, like 38 things that were wrong. We read the list and think most of them are small, like a window latch that doesn't totally work. The big structure things came back ok, but the air conditioner has problems. 38 seems like a lot of problems though. We don't want to buy a money pit, but also don't want to lose the house. So should we go forward? What should we look out for?

Should I buy a house on a busy road?

I have been having trouble finding a home I like and I am ready to own. I finally found one that is in the right area and I really like the layout and look of but it is on a busy road. My parents keep telling me that I might not like that once I have kids and it might be hard to resell. Is that a deal breaker for a lot of buyers?

Should I buy a home now or wait for interest rates to drop?

I’m thinking about buying a home, but interest rates seem higher than they were a few years ago. From your experience, does it make more sense to buy now or wait to see if rates come down?

How can I tell if a home is overpriced before making an offer?

I’m looking at a few homes right now and I’m not sure how to tell if the listing price is fair. Are there specific things buyers should look at—like comparable sales or time on the market—to know if a home is priced correctly?

Are home prices artificially inflated right now?

It feels like homes are overpriced in today’s market. Are buyers overpaying, or is this just the new normal?

Are real estate agents really worth the commission, or can I just buy a home on my own?

I’m wondering if working with an agent actually adds value, or if I could save money by handling things myself.

There is a home that I am intersted in but i can't find it on zillow or any listings. I did some googling that I think that it is foreclosed. Am I able to look at it? How do I make an offer or at least tour a foreclosed home?

Dumb to buy a vacation home?

I want to buy a vacation home near water. We would spend some weekends and parts of the summer there. i don't think we would rent it out, but that could be an option. Is it financially smarter to just rent places for random weeks every year? I thought owning a home was always better because of the equity you build up but now I'm rethinking.

Is it a red flag if a house has been sold every 2 years?

Found a house I love, but looking at the history, it was sold in 2020, 2022, and 2024. How do i know if it is just a coincidence (like people relocating), or is there likely a hidden nightmare with the house or the neighbors that makes everyone want to leave immediately? How do I find out the truth?
