1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Start with getting prequalified for a loan if you are not a cash buyer. Find a balance between "wants" and "needs."
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Having your home in tip top shape always helps facilitate a prompt sale. Know your priorities: needing a specific dollar amount received vs. a time deadline that the property must be sold by.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
Over the years I have met and worked with all types of wonderful real estate clients. Whether it is a castle or a cottage being bought or sold, attention to all details is so very important.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
A most interesting family flew in their own airplane, landed and I found a perfect home for them on a community airstrip.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I got my real estate license right after finishing college in the late 1970's. I had just bought my first home back then and was fascinated with the process.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Now days, people view homes on the computer thru Zillow and similar websites. My education in journalism and photography helps me present listings in a way that makes potential buyers WANT to see that particular home. Quality photography and lots of it peaks interest in these properties. I spent some time in the lending business in the late 1980's. It really helps to understand the financial side of things.
