Is it ok to store items in the garage when selling?

Can I use the garage for storage when selling my home? I know I need to clear out the clutter, but I need somewhere to put it. I'd prefer to not get a storage unit.

Yes, as long as it’s tidy and leaves room to walk. Garages still matter to buyers—clean, organized storage looks best and shows the space is usable.

The garage is perfect. Most people understand that the garage is used for storing things, especially when working on moving.

Absolutely! We always allow storage in garage and basements if need be. We sell square footage so we want the house to look big and clutter free as possible.

Yes it is okay to store items in the garage. Make sure that the items you place n the garage are organized in an orderly fashion. There should be room for a buyer to view the garage walls, and any storage area.

Absolutely! It is better to have all your boxes and extra stuff in your garage than in your house. Buyer understand that you have to put all your stuff somewhere :). If possible, arrange the stuff in your garage as neatly as possible and allow access to any equipment (water heater, water softener etc.) that might need to be inspected during the course of the sale. If you need to find a top rated agent you can search for him/her here for your area: https://www.fastexpert.com/rsp/agni-mitra-78257/ Good luck! Agni

Buyers are going to understand that the seller is moving, so items stored in a garage is fine. Make sure it looks organized. Also make sure that the buyer can get a general idea of condition and have access to look over items like a furnace or hot water heater.
