my neighbor told me he is selling his house. My daughter is moving back to the area and would like to buy it to be near her mother. How can we do that to make sure he gets a fair price but and everything is good?
Is there anyway to get my neighbors to stop parking on the street? I think it makes my house look bad and the neighborhood look cruddy. I also want to have open houses and there is no place for anyone to park. Is this osmething we can add to the HOA agreement?

We have an above-ground pool with a wrap-around deck that has seen better days. It needs a new liner and the deck needs significant repairs. We are selling this summer and are not sure if families will see it as a fun bonus or a huge liability. Would it be smarter to just tear it down and plant grass?

The carpet in our bedrooms and upstairs hallway is stained and worn out from our dogs. We definitely need to replace the flooring before listing the house. New carpet is much cheaper, but I know buyers love hard surface floors these days. Will spending the extra money on luxury vinyl plank or hardwood actually pay off at closing?

My wife just accepted a job transfer across the country, so we need to move within the next four weeks. We love our current home and part of me wants to keep it as a rental property just in case we ever move back. However, managing a rental from another state sounds incredibly stressful. How do people usually decide whether to sell right away or hold onto the property when moving out of state?

I am getting ready to list my single-family home in the Chicago suburbs. I've spoken to a couple of local agents, and they both quoted a standard percentage. I want to know if there is room to negotiate this rate, especially since homes in my neighborhood seem to sell within a week. How do I bring this up without souring the relationship before we even start?
I want to make sure that the house I buy is in a place where trash comes twice a week and they pick up recycling, that i don't have to drop it off. Is there a place where I can see that?
I've never sold a property before and I have three interviews set up with local realtors next week. I know I should ask about their recent sales and marketing plans, but I feel like I'm missing some crucial questions. What are the most important things to ask to ensure I pick someone who will actively work to get the best price for my home?
I cut hair in my home and changed my basement into a hair salon. I have one other girl that comes in and we cut men's and some women's hair. We do it all under the table to save money. I am planning to sell my home and move to a bigger house but I want to keep my business going as long as I can. What can i do for listing pictures and tours? Can i keep it up and just say it's a hobby or something?
