The house is perfect but the roof is at the end of its life. My inspector says it's not leaking yet, but it's due. The seller says they won't replace it because it's functional. How do I get them to meet me in the middle without them just moving on to the next buyer who doesn't care?
We're selling our house. It's been on the market about 3 weeks. We've had showings and just got an offer. But the agent says the offer is from their own buyer client. So then she wants to work for both of us. She tells us that she'll be fair and equal. But how can she really? How can she have our best interest and the buyer at the same time? And will she be the one to really come out on top of all this? We want to sell, but we also don't want to get pushed over.
Looking at a new build development. The base price is in my budget, but then they mentioned lot premiums, design center upgrades, and something called a SID/LID tax. By the time I add a backyard and blinds, am I going to be $100k over budget? What should I ask the builder before I sign?

I'm interested in a home that has a large green space behind it. It is one of the selling points. But i'm not sure if it will always be green space and who owns it or what is planned for it. I don't know how to figure out the address or how to search it in the county website. How can i find out?

I'm getting married, and I'm going to sell my current house and move into my fiancé's house. But I'm worried about the taxes. Will I need to pay taxes on the sale of my house? If so, is there a way to avoid this or minimize it?

Does the buyer’s agent have to disclose if they know the listing agent as their ex in-laws? The husband in the team that represented us was the listing agent’s ex brother in law. Conflict of interests? Enough to void the contract?

The home is an owner built home. No professional builder was involved. Everything was done by the owner who was not a licensed or skilled contractor. How does the market value these homes? Would it qualify for financing or cash only? Do I have to sell it As-is and/or disclose it as an owner built home?
