FastExpert Donates 200 Backpacks to Comfort Cases to Support Children in Foster Care

That’s why we’re incredibly proud to announce our $5,000 donation to Comfort Cases, an organization that brings dignity, hope, and a sense of belonging to children entering the foster care system.
Children Deserve More Than a Trash Bag
Every year, over 437,000 children enter the foster care system in the United States. Many of them arrive at their placements with nothing but the clothes on their backs, or worse, with all of their belongings shoved into a black trash bag. This dehumanizing experience sends an unspoken message: you don’t matter.
Comfort Cases was founded to challenge and change that narrative. They provide children in foster care with high-quality backpacks filled with essential items, including new pajamas, hygiene kits, books, journals, blankets, stuffed animals, and more. These aren’t just supplies. They’re small acts of love that affirm each child’s worth and dignity.
A Mission That Hits Home
When we first learned about Comfort Cases, we were immediately moved by the simplicity and power of their mission. But it was hearing individual stories that really sold the mission.
One story that is hard to forget is of a girl named Maya. She entered foster care at the age of 8 after being removed from an unsafe environment. “When I was taken from my home, they handed me a trash bag,” she shared in a Comfort Cases video. “I felt like trash. Everything I had was thrown in there. No one told me where I was going or for how long.”
But when Maya arrived at her new foster home, a Comfort Case was waiting for her. Inside, she found a pair of pajamas in her size, a stuffed unicorn, a brand-new toothbrush, a coloring book, and a handwritten note. “That was the first time I ever felt like someone cared about what I liked. I still have the unicorn. It reminded me I wasn’t alone.”
These stories aren’t rare. For thousands of children across the country, something as simple as a soft blanket or a new journal can become a lifeline of comfort and consistency in a time of upheaval.

What the $5,000 Donation Will Do
FastExpert’s $5,000 donation will directly support the creation and delivery of over 200 Comfort Cases to children in foster care. Each case is carefully curated, age-appropriate, and filled with brand new items so children can feel like they have new things of their own.
Comfort Cases also works closely with social workers and child welfare organizations across the country to ensure these backpacks are delivered at the exact moment they’re needed, often on the very first day a child enters care.
