First you need to find yourself an experienced Realtor. Make sure they listen to your needs which is extremely important. Secondly, get pre-qualified with a lender for a mortgage. Properties don't stay on the market long for this area so you want to be prepared to make an offer when you find the right house instead of running around trying to figure it all out at once.
