I recently had the pleasure of helping a seller whose property — which included acreage and two mobile homes — had been listed twice before without success. Many lenders initially said the property couldn’t be financed due to its unique setup, but I didn’t stop there. Through persistence and research, I found a lender who understood the guidelines that allowed us to secure traditional financing and close the sale successfully. In the end, both the seller and buyer were thrilled — a true win-win that proved how the right knowledge, persistence, and teamwork can make all the difference.
I started my real estate career a few years after high school as an administrative assistant in a successful real estate office. Having moved many times growing up as my father’s job relocated our family, I developed a love for touring homes and the excitement of finding a new place to call home. That experience sparked my passion for real estate and the joy of helping people find a home where they can create lasting memories with family and friends. What should I know about buying a mobile home?
Check the rules and requirements if the mobile home is in a park. Some parks are 55 + communities. You will also want to know the space rent and how much it can increase yearly. If you need financing, you will also want to check on the requirements with a knowledgeable lender specializing in mobile home financing, older models may be difficult to finance. The age of the mobile home will typically determine its value and appreciation.

I always recommend getting a home inspection !! It helps uncover hidden issues, protects your investment, and gives you peace of mind before you buy. A small step now can save you big surprises later.

When researching the build of your home, the local Building Department should have the original permits and construction records on file.

Can I make an offer on a pending house?
Absolutely, yes. Submitting a back-up offer is highly recommended. It gives you the opportunity to move into first position if the current contract falls through. I've successfully sold many properties where the buyer originally came in as a back-up offer.
