Mel is an exceptional realtor. She possesses masterful process expertise, very impressive local knowledge, and excellent negotiation skills. With her help and guidance, my husband and I were able to identify and close a deal on our dream home within a week of first connecting with Mel through Zillow. As first-time home buyers, we were pretty green about what buying a home entails. Mel proved to be the ideal guide through the process. We felt a rapport with her immediately and she listened carefully to what we were looking for in a home, responding sensitively and quickly to our reactions to the houses we visited. She seamlessly adjusted course once we decided that while historical charm was nice, what we needed was ample space and to find a home that was move-in ready. Mel was attentive and responsive to our needs, working long hours to support us and other clients through in-person showings, as well as phone and text conversations. She explained how each aspect of the home-buying process worked in simple terms we could understand and we always felt we could ask her any question, however small or silly. She negotiated well on our behalf in a situation in which there were multiple offers, helping us win the very desirable house we wanted! Crucially, Mel also connected us to an excellent mortgage company and loan officer, an attorney, a home inspector, and a plumber. We were extremely satisfied with the whole team!Buying a house can make you feel vulnerable, especially if you're on a budget, like we were, or it's your first time. We felt very secure throughout the whole process, thanks to Mel's steady and reliable professional guidance. She has a warm and caring presence, and she's accessible and down to earth. It was truly a pleasure to work with Mel and she has continued to stay in touch with us after the close, recommending contractors and handymen.
