ZillowVERIFIED Steven is the best! But let me elaborate on why...We successfully listed and sold our townhouse and bought our dream house with Steven.Both experiences were great! Steven put up with us being very, very picky about our dream home.See we wanted a pool and would only see houses with pools. All in a certain 5-10 mile area. So this put Steven behind the 8 ball with us but he never pressured us in the least. He was always patient and just really enjoyable to be around!We met Steven randomly at an open house when we started looking and we knew....this is the guy! We wanted Steven to be our realtor. Our initial reasoning was we just liked him, and then we realized this guy really really knows his stuff! He obviously passionate about real estate. He would often be going to another conference to learn and become more knowledgeable about the evolving market. Our townhouse was listed and got quite a few offers in the first week. I thinkwe may have gotten 5 in the first day. Steven went through the pros and cons of each offer and what made them strong or weak relative to each other. Everything worked out in the end and we successfully sold very close to our asking price.Buying our dream home took months. We low balled on our dream home and it took months but the seller eventually countered and we were able to negotiate a very fair price (maybe more of a steal for us) our new dream home. And we timed the closing and purchase of both properties just right!So we sold our townhouse close to asking price and got a killer deal on our dream home. ZillowVERIFIED Steve showed me the house we ended up buying when we were "just browsing". (We were not working with a buyers agent at that point.) I was impressed by his professionalism, knowledge of the home, and friendly, not-at-all-pushy attitude. Unlike other agents I met when I looked at other homes in the area, he didn't make a pitch to become our buyers agent; instead, he was completely focused on doing the best possible job he could for his sellers. Steve is an agent who genuinely puts his clients first. Once we were ready to "seriously" look at homes, we contacted Steve about becoming our buyers agent. We were still interested in the house he had shown us, so he was careful to explain the "dual agency" process to us. In this and all other matters, he acted with the utmost integrity and professionalism. He listened carefully to our needs and wants and with his exceptional knowledge of Monmouth County towns (our search area), he really helped us narrow our focus, which was important since we were living out-of-state at the time and wanted our house hunting trips to NJ to be as productive as possible. As it turned out, one house hunting trip was sufficient. Steve lined up the properties in a strategic order, one that made it easy to compare the homes and the towns we were considering. His approach within the homes was also excellent. He was highly attentive to the details but didn't impose his own opinions on us, and he helped us work through our thoughts on what did and didn't work for us. Also helpful was his knowledge of estimated costs for various improvements/upgrades we might want to make as well as his opinion on the actual market value of each home. In short, he made the whole house hunting process go more smoothly and helped us feel more confident about our decisions. Ultimately, as I already stated, we decided to purchase the home that Steve originally showed me before he was our buyers agent. We've been living in our new home for about 9 months now and couldn't be happier with our choice. The actual buying process went very smoothly. No complaints. Again, the word "professionalism" comes to mind with respect to Steve's role in the process. And paired with that professionalism is Steve's innate intelligence, warm, genuine personality, strong work ethic, and an obvious drive to deliver the best possible results for his clients. I recommend Steve, without reservation, to anyone interested in buying or selling a home in this area.
