She was very helpful in every step of the process. Went the extra mile to make sure we found exactly what we wanted. Worked late with us doing research and answering our questions.

We've now bought and sold a house with Lori and we were very impressed both times. She knows the area extremely well and gives great advice for the type of neighborhood we were looking for. She works ...
1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Contact a REALTOR rather than trying to tackle it on your own. A REALTOR will get you into a buying position with a lender referral, help you determine your buying power, and be able to notify you of a home that hits the market within your search criteria. Online home searches aren't reliable. As a buyer, you don't pay for the services of a REALTOR so you have nothing to loose and everything to gain.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Selling your home is much more than posting it online and putting a sign up. Contact a REALTOR before making home repairs and modifications. Sellers often spend money on things that don't matter just to discover other repairs are needed in order to sell. My listing consultation is free. Not only will you know what repairs or staging is needed to sell your home for the most money, you will have a clear understanding of the process, how much your true net will be based upon the sales price agreed upon, and have reduced stress knowing a professional will guide you throughout the process.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
I have a wide experience of the types of clients I've worked with. From first-time buyers to Seniors looking to down-size, active military and veterans, luxury buyers/sellers, farm and ranch properties, land buyers/seller, estates, foreclosures, investments (even multi-family properties) and relocation.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
A family member (and executor of the will) called me from out of state to sell her parent's home. The mother died a few years prior and the family was just now emotionally ready to sell it, but there were many siblings to coordinate with and they were all out of the area. They needed someone to really take the reins for them. I did more work than usual due to the fact they were all out of state, but it was worth it because the house sold quickly and for the amount they wanted. The buyers loved the home and was planning to start a family in that home. This gave the selling family such comfort. Normally the sell of a house is a big celebration, but in this case it was sad for them as well. In honor of their mom and dad, I donated books based on their hobbies to the church they went to all their lives. This small token impacted the family and we've stayed connected ever since. Every transaction is more than a sell and I'm grateful to be a part of each one I have.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I was in nursing for 21 years with a focus in RN Case Management for many of those years. I left nursing to stay at home with the children (5 kids). A friend asked me to help her in her real estate business for just a few hours a week from home. Those few hours turned into more hours and then into me getting my real estate license because I fell in love with it. Most of the kids are now older and I am working full time in this career that I jokingly call a "job". I am now joined by my oldest daughter and she is now learning the business. What a blessing!
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I take part in many educational opportunities to stay current on real estate trends and legal concerns of transactions. In addition to that, I am certified in foreclosures and short sales (SFR), TX First Time Homebuyer Specialist, and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). I stay current in real estate trends and attend training sessions often to bring relevant value to my clients.
