It depends on the scope of the unpermitted work. And you must disclosed the work you did. But yes, you may resell your home.

Hi Mary....did you have a home inspection prior to purchase? Was it disclosed in the home inspection? And was it disclosed on your Seller's Property Disclosure? If they KNEW that this was a material fact in the home and did not disclose it intentionally, you would have a case against the Seller and possibly the agent if this was a known and undisclosed fact. I would definitely have your Realtor reach out the the Listing Agent and see what can be done.

You may want to ask her why she's shocked. I know in my 14 year career, I've maybe had 5 appraisals come in under value. This year alone I've had 3. She may just be shocked that it happened. And....there's no guarantee that the Seller will automatically drop the price. Though, I sincerely hope that was the case for you.

Absolutely. You can sell it for a $1 if you like. It's your home.

Hi Kayla... You usually have a much lower interest rate but will have a higher payment to satisfy the mortgage in a shorter period of time. If you can afford the higher payment, The lower interest rate for the shorter term is definitely worth it.

A pocket listing is not viewable on MLS services. The drawbacks are not getting it out into the public for a faster sale. You rely on word of mouth within your Broker's sphere to get your home sold.
