Amber was great from the start. She hired a professional photographer who took photos that complimented our condo, and immediately placed our property on the Multiple Listings. She advised us after a short time that the asking price might not be coming up in the buyer's search and after lowering our price by a few thousand dollars, we had much activity and finally an offer. Assess the amount of maintenance the home will require in the first ten years of ownership when comparing homes. Only look at homes that suit your prequalification amount so you can insure you'll have a comfortable mortgage payment. Don't get caught up on all that glitters, look at what the home offers as far as insurance costs. Does the home have an ugly paint color and outdated kitchen but a new roof and windows? Many times an agent like me can help you decide based on the bigger picture of long term home ownership. Try and see all the homes in your neighborhood that are for sale as these homes are in direct competition with you. Note the feeling you get when you walk into these homes and make your home look like one you'd buy based on the tour of your own neighborhood. Price aggressively and hire the right agent that will truly represent you int he transaction. NEVER hire a Realtor based on the list price they propose, but on their qualifications as an agent.

My clients have been made up of seasoned investors all the way to the first time home buyer, to experienced medical practices relocating and leasing a large space. My experience in real Estate has been anything but normal since my first experiences were after the crash. I become accustomed to helping savvy investors until our market recovered around 2015 and I was able to start assisting more consumers with mortgages. I have sold vacation homes, condos on the beach, homes in the suburbs, apartment buildings and more. I have built portfolios for clients who have acquired wonderful passive income opportunities for their retirement.

I have an investment client with a multi-unit apartment building where I regularly lease units. I got a call one day from Staten Island from a man with Parkinson's inquiring about a very small studio apartment. I began speaking with his brother as well, who told me he was desperately looking for a solution to relocate his brother to a warmer climate where he would be the most happy. Instead of leasing, I found a better solution for their family and actually ended up selling them a condo sight unseen. When they arrived, I could see the sense of relief they both had. The condo was a lower cost per month and would allow the brother to live on his fixed income. It was incredibly rewarding to help a family at this stage in life.

When working for Verizon Wireless (2005-2011) I was accustomed to working long hours and managing a team of sales people. Even though I loved my job there, I was convinced Real Estate was the career for me when I had two children and noticed a number of moms going into this field for the flexibility int he schedule. Now I still work the same hours as Verizon, I just get to choose which hours. ;) Sometimes it's researching for four hours in the middle of the night for buyers, or it could be spending the day doing an open house for my sellers. I appreciate the freedom of entrepreneurship and to me it is the quintessential American dream I must achieve.

I have a RENE and SRS certification. The first one stands for Real Estate Negotiation Expert, where I was educated on the negotiation skills necessary to win for my clients on terms and price. The second stands for Sellers Representative Specialist, where my skills of a listing agent were polished as I learned how to effectively market listings worldwide and ensure a smooth transaction.
