Jen was a pleasure to work with as a first time home buyer - I will be recommending her to all of my friends looking to purchase a home in Chicago. She was available at all hours of the day and night to respond to my many questions. As a first time homeowner, I really was not well versed with the purchase process, and Jen was a major help and really took the time to walk me through the process and make everything a little less intimidating. I always felt she had my best interests in mind. I ended up taking a break in my search for a property due to COVID-19 and called off her search for me. When randomly searching online late at night during the break, however, I came across a beautiful condo and texted Jen right away. Even though it was late into the night and we hadn't been in contact for a few months, Jen responded right away and was able to get me a showing the very next day where we put in a same day offer. My wife and I first worked with Jen to purchase our first home, a condo in Hyde Park, several years ago. We had such an excellent and seamless experience with her that we didn't hesitate to engage her services again for selling our condo and purchasing a single family home in Jefferson Park. For both of our home searches, Jen went above and beyond at every step of the process to make sure we found exactly the property we were looking for. She was always available and responsive to our questions and concerns, and quick to offer advice and wisdom from her years of professional experience. She is extremely knowledgeable about many different Chicago neighborhoods, and she created several thoughtful lists of properties to explore based on our criteria--she clearly wanted us to always feel like we had options. She accompanied us to property visits whenever she could, and we always felt like she asked good questions of the listing agents, and that always we got her honest critical opinion about a property. Her working style is extremely collaborative and flexible, and we never felt pressured by her at any point to make a decision that we were not 100% comfortable with--her priority was clearly to make sure we found a property that was a good fit for our needs. Jen is also a skillful negotiator and very effective at advocating for her clients and dealing with other realtors and lawyers; during our most recent closing we were in a position where she had to make a judgment call on our behalf, and that decision ended up keeping the deal from falling through. It is thanks to Jen's consummate professionalism that we are now living in our dream house and that we have had such painless home-buying and home-selling experiences. We will definitely count ourselves lucky to work with her again in the future.
