Carla Buckhold was a godsend. My husband and I fell for an old cottage in the historic district of Beaufort and knew if we wanted a shot at securing a purchase on this place, we'd have to partner up with a good team of folks and get it done, pronto. Carla gave us the first walk-through and provided her unvarnished impressions, concerns and enthusiasms. After hiring her as our rep she spear-headed the effort and before we knew it we'd put in what turned out to be a solid contract. As impressive as these first steps were, it was what followed that was so helpful and memorable. Immediately Carla set us with names, reputations and introductions to the most reliable inspectors, HVAC folks, electrical professionals, etc.. A team. In no time at all we were able to easily roll through the due diligence process, assessing risk and benefits in an extremely organized fashion. Considering we live 3 hours away from what is now our soon to be new home in Beaufort, we had envisioned early on a dizzying necessity of driving back and forth to Beaufort from Raleigh to meet with people to get the deal done. Not so. Carla took a great deal of that on herself. And this too: we were updated according to need and if we hit a bump in the road Carla was one step ahead of us with solutions. All to say, Carla is lovely, thoughtful and professional. This is the first house my husband and I have ever purchased in the States. We must have had a million concerns and questions. Carla indulged every one of them. We're still giddy about how easy the whole process was.
