Steeped in history and offered as a fully furnished, turnkey sanctuary, this distinguished 1874 residence presents a rare opportunity to own a storied piece of Lakewood's past. Once connected to the Packard family, icons of American automotive innovation, this home is a masterclass in preserved Victorian artistry. Every corner reveals remarkable original details, from the vibrant stained-glass windows to the timeless architectural millwork. Upon entering, the gleaming floor-to-ceiling woodwork serves as a testament to a level of craftsmanship and intricate detail seldom found in the modern era. While the home's historical integrity has been meticulously guarded, thoughtful updates over the years have seamlessly integrated contemporary comfort with its original character. Situated on a sprawling double corner lot just 150 feet from the water, the property includes coveted deeded lake rights. The exterior is a classic retreat, featuring a grand Victorian front porch, mature perennial gardens, and an expansive deck designed to capture stunning views of Chautauqua Lake. Inside, the 12-room layout exudes elegance across 5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. A traditional center hall connects the living room, complete with custom built-in bookcases, to a formal dining room, both anchored by stately fireplaces. The main level is further enhanced by a bright four-season sunroom with sliding glass doors to the deck, a main-floor bedroom, half bath and first floor laundry and original hardwood floors that add warmth throughout. Upstairs, the primary suite serves as a private haven, boasting a fireplace, a modern finished bath, a chandelier-lit dressing area, and a sitting room with access to restored sleeping porch. Recent infrastructure improvements include a newer roof with lifetime shingles, updated wiring and plumbing, new A/C (2024) and added insulation.
