I grew up in Ramona and have sold homes, as well as vacant land here for over 19 years. This is a more rural community with lots of open space, and very few "communities' with an HOA! Many people have horses, and have started wineries and ranches. If you are looking for chain stores, or Costco, you need to leave Ramona, as local grocery stores and Kahoots or Tractor Supply are the main businesses. Movie theaters, Target, or WalMart are all "down the hill," as locals will say. Ramona is a huge geographic area. There are many wide open spaces, oak trees and mountains. For real estate, you get more for your money, both in land size, and home size as compared to other parts of San Diego County.

About these neighborhood estimates

Prices and counts describe active listings returned by the provider, excluding coming-soon and nearby search results. They are asking prices, not sold prices, and may not include every home for sale.

Nearby-school grades are FastExpert estimates from the average available ratings of unique public schools returned for sampled neighborhood properties. A: 8–10; B: 6–under 8; C: 4–under 6; D: 2–under 4; F: 1–under 2. Unrated schools are excluded. Nearby schools may not be assigned to a specific address.
