As a resident of North Port for 17 years, I have seen many changes. It still has a small-town feel while experiencing amazing growth and nationwide accolades. Many new businesses are coming every day, better choices, healthcare, along with growing real estate for residential and apartments. There is a few communities that are gated and with HOAs. Wellen Park is a top master-planned community that is excelling the top tier of homes and amenities. Growth with police and fire rescue to meet the demand, infrastructure improvements and more development to coming. The challenges are well water, and septic, sometimes people park cars on the lawn or boats that detracts from value. Overall this city is experience some much positive growth with a great location for people seeking lots that are one 1/4 acre or more.

Nearby-school grades are FastExpert estimates from the average available ratings of unique public schools returned for sampled neighborhood properties. A: 8–10; B: 6–under 8; C: 4–under 6; D: 2–under 4; F: 1–under 2. Unrated schools are excluded. Nearby schools may not be assigned to a specific address.
