I wish I could give a positive, glowing review; however, that cannot be done. We listed three properties with Barb & her son Nick @ the same time. From the start, there were flags & issues. First, Barbara tends to over speak, shut people down & not listen to the wants & needs of her customers (my husband & myself.) Major issues encountered - her son & my husband did not see eye to eye from the start. Nicks only way to handle this conflict resolution was to avoid my husband altogether & have his secretary act as the go-between. Very immature & unprofessional. His knowledge of the legal dynamics of the paperwork was lacking at best. There were several contract errors; he could not explain the forms or contracts & every time there was a question, it was how many circles can I talk around you, these errors and lack of negotiation skills cost us major money. Times when he was supposed to be at our house, he was out deep sea fishing. Several realtors had direct issues with him and misrepresentation of the facts, or outright cya scenarios to his benefit. We had an open house scheduled & we received a call 15 minutes prior saying that it was not going to take place & we chose to conduct the open house ourselves. Barb did arrive eventually, even though at that point I told her NOT to come & to stay away. Yet again she did not listen & over spoke when she did arrive. Due to misrepresentation & mismanagement of our contract, we overpaid dearly for these two & their inadequate handling of all houses and land for sale. What we encountered was so extreme that I had to contact the realtor board & their boss directly. In the end, the houses and land were sold - however, the painful interaction between the two of them was more than a seller should ever go through. Apologies are not enough when the amount of negligence is taken into consideration. The lack of accountability was mind-boggling. We had several realtors & 3 buyers come back & directly complain about them as well. We all have stories to tell but please due your due diligence if you feel as though you are being talked over from the sales pitch it only gets worse from there so if that issue does not sit well with you then move on & that goes for any realtor. Promises and magic are made for Fairy Tales & Walt Disney - NOT Realtors who claim that they are experts. I have several pages of issues, mostly direct in nature, at the end of the day the properties did sell, but that was due to my husband's interaction with the buyers and their realtors, not them. Be cautious with them, hopefully they can learn from the feedback & progress into excellence. As of now we are one set of sellers that got taken for a ride on the commission - when their secretary did all of their work & personally, she deserves all of the commission as they did nothing but cause us agony & grief at every turn due to trying to act like experts instead of being experts.
