Buying a house in 2022 felt like building a new playbook in the middle of the game. Ty was available whenever we had questions, he shared personal stories and experiences, and made sure we as first time buyers understood how the housing market works. A few things we?ve learned from Ty and the experience: 1. Don?t give up. The day we decided to stop looking for houses was the day that we found our house and got our offer accepted. Hours apart, a testament to how quickly things change. 2. Houses you might have lost come back on the market for a lot of reasons. Our house was put back on the market after the original purchasers found too many problems with the house. The owner paid for everything, which saved us money in the long run and we got the house we really wanted. Finally, you?ll forget houses quickly, but check weekly to see if they actually got sold and for how much. 3. Tyler Lankheet is a master at his craft. Trust him when he says something you feel might not be correct because he definitely knows more than you about the local market. As an economist and statistician, I had to learn to trust Ty?s instinct over trends, because local markets are themselves very different than macro ones. 4. Don?t settle. You?ll find the perfect house.

We highly recommend Ty to be your agent. Here are just a few items out of many of great quality Ty has: - Responsiveness. Ty is always available to help you throughout the process. This is true throughout the entire process; before, during, and after. If you have any questions, concerns, or anything, Ty will always be there to assist you. He is there to help you exploring options (e.g. budgets, loan providers, etc.) before looking at places. He provides home tours to places you are interested in at almost anytime, for example, late nights. Last and not least, he provided help even after you are finishing with the purchase; such as keeping in touch with contacts that are responsible for repairs that are on the purchase addendum/contract and make sure it gets done. - Knowledge. Ty has great knowledge of the real estate market as well as financial choices. As first time home buyer, there are many things that we look for, but there are many things we didnt know we wanted to look for as well as bad things we should be careful of. Ty looks for places with our requirements, while honestly inform us of the pros and cons of those places. With his good financial knowledge, he provided us with many choices on how we can approach in terms of purchasing the place at good value, or get good value out of the negotiation. - Patience. It took my wife and I an entire year from beginning to exploring options for purchasing a place till closing on my first home. Ty kept in touch with us the entire time and has not rush us at all. ZillowVERIFIED Ty represented us in our purchase of a home in Hillsboro in July of this year. He was incredibly helpful and responsive. We were remote at the time and he worked tirelessly with us to identify homes that met our criteria, which were many - near a Max station, master bedroom on the main floor, open plan, place for our dog to go outside, etc. etc. When we were not in Oregon, Ty would video homes for us so we could decide if it was worth making the trip North. Within a matter of weeks Ty had identified multiple homes that mt our criteria. He gave us excellent advice on bidding strategy and we closed effortlessly. You cannot do any better than having Ty as your realtor.
