My wife and I wouldn?t have bought a house this year if we hadn?t had Ty on our team. Buying a home is stressful. Buying a house in 2022 felt like building a new playbook in the middle of the game. Ty was available whenever we had questions, he shared personal stories and experiences, and made sure we as first time buyers understood how the housing market works. A few things we?ve learned from Ty and the experience: 1. Don?t give up. The day we decided to stop looking for houses was the day that we found our house and got our offer accepted. Hours apart, a testament to how quickly things change. 2. Houses you might have lost come back on the market for a lot of reasons. Our house was put back on the market after the original purchasers found too many problems with the house. The owner paid for everything, which saved us money in the long run and we got the house we really wanted. Finally, you?ll forget houses quickly, but check weekly to see if they actually got sold and for how much. 3. Tyler Lankheet is a master at his craft. Trust him when he says something you feel might not be correct because he definitely knows more than you about the local market. As an economist and statistician, I had to learn to trust Ty?s instinct over trends, because local markets are themselves very different than macro ones. 4. Don?t settle. You?ll find the perfect house.
