ZillowVERIFIED We worked with Travis who was very personable, knowledgeable, and straightforward. My husband had a job offer out of state and we were trying to decide if we should sell or rent. Our house had been 'underwater' for quite a few years and we weren't sure if we could break even yet. Travis walked us through the emotional financial eye-opener of realizing...it could go either way. With the real estate market rebounding, we might be able to get enough to break even, but it wasn't a sure thing. Travis remained confident and up-beat in the face of uncertainty. He gave suggestions for what to spiff up, which I knew was necessary, although putting more money in when we weren't sure if we'd break even did hurt a bit. He also highly recommended having the house staged to set it apart from others. Again, this was a tough (expensive) pill to swallow and I wondered if there might have been a cheaper option than the gal he recommended. I'm sure he would have supported our decision if we had gone with someone else, in the end however, we decided to trust Travis. The staging looked great and the photos really showed the house at it's best (it was worth getting those windows washed! Really gave that 'new' look in the photos). Although there was some lag time between when the house was empty and ready and when it was photographed and put on the market (which was agonizing at the time because we were paying our mortgage and the new rent), Travis explained why things were working out the way they had, and why he preferred to list on a certain day of the week...he had it under control. Also, the staging was paid for month by month, so we wondered how long we'd have to pay for that. As it turned out, a couple was interested quickly and we had the house under contract before the month was up. I felt Travis made sure to look out for us, but I felt he was respectful of the other couple, too. I didn't like the idea of a cut-throat deal with angry parties on either side (I witnessed my mom go through something like that with different realtors!). Coming out of the recession with a house that had been underwater our home sold for what we had paid for it in 2007, and all of our closing costs were covered. This was a best case scenario for us. We were prepared for the possibility of OWING money when all was said and done (we looked into a short sale but after weighing pros and cons decided against it)! I truly believe that thanks to the advice, can-do attitude and team work that the Morris team provided, we were able to step away from that chapter of our lives unencumbered and are happily enjoying our next chapter.

We had a 3 month notice that we needed to move out of a home we were renting, and in searching for another place to rent we just couldn't justify paying the asking price for the size of home we were looking for. So with 3 months to find and close on a home Emily took us through the process. We must have looked at over a dozen homes and not once did we ever feel pressured to buy the one we were looking at. Emily always said "take another look, you don't have to buy this one if it isn't right" and then we found "The One" it was perfect, and although the location was a bit further south than my husband wanted, it had everything else we were looking for. Throughout the negotiation process Emily was a strong advocate for what we wanted in the home. I mean, who knew that you had to negotiate for screens on your windows... I thought they just came with them automatically! We came to a mutual agreement with the developer and were keeping our fingers crossed that the Loan Officer Allen Quinney could have us closed before the end of the month, and he did, in roughly 15 days we went from mutual agreement to keys in hand. With the success of Emily and Allen we had found and purchased a home with 2 days to spare, leaving us just enough time to move out of the rental and into OUR first home.

ZillowVERIFIED My wife and I decided it was time to downsize from our 3,200 sq foot home to something more comfortable for us. I contacted Emily Morris because she successfully helped me purchase a condo in 2014. Emily put me in contact with Travis July 2016. Travis was very knowledgeable and reassuring about the process and what the market was doing at the time. Our challenge was that we wanted to sell our home for $350K or more, but our development had a home that was on the market for $320K. Based on the condition of our home and the other home being a rental, Travis was willing to give our desired price a shot at $350K. The Morriss guided us every step of the way. They took excellent photos of our home and kept us informed throughout the process. Selling and buying a new home was very stressful because we only had 30-days to sell our home and purchase a new one, which was contingent upon the sale of our home. Long story short, our home was sold within 30-days of being on the market and we are now waiting for the completion of our new home currently being built. And of course, Travis is the realtor on that end as well. It was a pleasure working with the Morris Real Estate Group and I would recommend them to others looking to buy or sell.
