4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
Scott's favorite part of real estate is being able to secure a great deal for his clients! Two recent transactions provided him just that opportunity. The first client purchased an apartment complex and after reviewing the company's accounting records, Scott was able to find a few discrepancies that equated to almost $20,000 in savings per year. The second client sold a residential home and inspections reported almost $14,000 in needed repairs. Scott's experience with inspections, construction, loads and home-building proved invaluable because he was able to secure an engineer who re-evaluated the property and cleared all issues, thus saving the client from unnecessary costs. Deals like these are where Scott really thrives. His experience and negotiation skills can change the course of a troubled transaction and provide protection for his clients.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
Scott spent more than 20 years in mold specialty work and general contracting. While building homes and selling them through his longtime agent Sharon Evans, she opened his eyes to an exciting world of real estate. Scott received his license in 2014 and began a new adventure at Evans & Evans Real Estate under the direction of his former agent turned broker.
