Review We worked with Sarah Ruffner of TLK and she was AMAZING! I could not recommend her and her team highly enough. We literally could not have found the house we did without them. She was super knowledgable, but also accessible, down to earth, and willing to take the time to explain anything we had questions about. She gave us great advice, was honest about pros and cons of different houses, but also left things open for us to make our own decisions. We never felt pressured by her in anyway. She knew what she was doing, but she wasnt so overbooked with clients that she couldnt make time for us (even though as first time homebuyers with a comparatively low budget she probably wasnt make as much money on us as on other clients). She was friendly, professional, and just all around great. We are so thankful for her and her team and all that that did during our home buying process.

Review We contacted the TLK group when we were in PDX for a short visit from Arizona and Sarah Ruffner arrived to take care of us, and take EXCEPTIONAL care of us she did! Sarah had little notice and a small window of time to show us several properties we found on line from AZ. After returning to AZ she remained in close touch with us, sending us listings she thought would fit our wants and needs and answering our many questions. Three months after our first appointment with Sarah we received an offer on our home and were on a short time line to find a perfect place for us. Sarah was on top of it and thanks to her expertise we were able to close on the house we sold on a Friday, and close on the house we purchased with her assistance the next Monday. There were issues that arose throughout the sales process that Sarah stayed on top of, her negotiation skills were a valuable asset throughout our buying process. She remained steady with her sense of humor in tact as we navigated our way to closing. We hadnt read Sarahs bio on the website until recently, we agree completely that her main focus is to assist clients in getting what they want and need in their new property, she is focused on the clients and for them to have the best experience she can provide. Review For late-in-life first time home owners, who additionally are still getting used to living in the US after decades of expatriate living, the whole process of buying a house could have been quite overwhelming. Truth be told, that was what we expected. What we experienced was a process that was so smooth that the period of May 20?June 30 went by in a flash! And we have a new key on the keyring! Sarah represented me as Buyers Agent, for a 1031 Exchange transaction, for which time was of the essence. In addition, it required addressing a stream of time sensitive elements over the Holidays, during which Sarah did not skip a beat. Review Where to begin??!! The last time we purchased a home was in 1983. Obviously a lot has changed since then. Not knowing how to pick a good real estate agent, We took a chance with an independent that might give us the more personal touch but it didnt turn out so well. I then happened on the TLK Group just by accident in my early search of homes and was put in touch with Sarah Ruffner. She was EXACTLY what we were looking from the moment we met her. We wanted someone to be honest, upfront, knows their stuff and thats Sarah!! I cant say enough good things about her and she showed us quite a few homes - meeting us at a moments notice (if she could). When she was booked, her assistant Perla Martinez stepped in and SHE didnt miss a beat. Between the two ladies we toured a lot of homes until we found the right one. We knew we needed to change realtors and that is when we came across Sarah Ruffner. Review Our realtor Sarah Ruffner made our move to Portland a wonderful experience. My family and I decided to move to Portland in 2013 after enjoying many annual summer trips to Cannon Beach. We met Sarah through a listing we wanted to see while we were in town. She met us and had prepared a binder full of information about the area and Portland in general. I went back home feeling much more informed about the different neighborhoods in the Portland area.For 8 months Sarah and I corresponded by email (I lived in Utah) as I sent her listings and she would let me know about the area and whether the homes seemed like a fit with what I had identified as required and desired features of the homes and neighborhoods.In May and June 2014 I came to Portland to find a house. I had sold my home and was suddenly on a tight schedule. Sarah spent the majority of two weekends showing me the homes I wanted to see. We found the perfect home the second weekend I was in Portland. Review Ive worked with Sarah to purchase two homes; she is great at her job. She listens to what the buyer wants and sends home listings based on the criteria youre looking for. Meaning, she hand selects properties rather than setting an automatic email to you. This is helpful when there are features that cant be quantified by a search engine such as a kitchen that opens to the living area or high ceilings. This saves the buyer a lot of time. She also pulls properties throughout your price-point rather than simply at the top or just above. I would highly recommend her - she has been a pleasure to work with.

Review After a disasterous experience with our first Portland real estate agent, who sent us over 200 homes to look at in his first email, and then didnt think it was his job to find us a home, we were extremely lucky to find Sarah Ruffner. Sarah immediately understood that we wanted her to weed out the houses in our price range that did not meet the other criteria we deemed important for our lifestyle and only sent us houses to look at online that were serious contenders for our consideration. Once we found the perfect house, Sarah expertly guided us through the negotiations. She made it a point to be present for all of the 7 inspections we asked to have conducted, from sewer scoping to soil testing and everything in between, and immediately reported back to us the results. As long distance buyers, we depended on Sarah to be our eyes and ears and to anticipate the questions we would have asked had we been on site. She absolutely delivered on our expectations, and in our opinion, she went those extra miles to ensure that we were confident in moving forward to close the deal.
