Review What a challenge and journey to get to our new home. Dani Gray accepted the challenge to find a small home with a 3 car garage! She was patient, took us to several locations regardless of destination, provided guidance regarding the area, and found the home during our 3-day visit to the area! She was our advocate throughout the process and extremely responsive to all questions and inquiries. The transaction manager, April Lukens, managed all the paperwork and signatures for the offer, amendments, inspections, work estimates, and coordinating with the title company. Our work estimates came in higher than expected and we thought we would lose the house. Dani and April provided the facts and figures to the listing agent and got us over the final hurdle to closing. Before we were even sure that we were moving to Roanoke, Norm showed us around town to help us decide what neighborhood we could see as our future home. He gave us a fun & energetic welcome, and made us even more excited about potentially moving to Roanoke. He was super-helpful and accommodating when we started house-hunting virtually, even while on a family vacation. When the dream-home we found in downtown Roanoke wasn't currently on the market, Norm reached out to the seller's agent to get us in to see the construction-in-process, despite the sellers reluctance. Due to being new construction in a historical area, the purchase itself was complicated, but Julie Ann and Norm were tremendously knowledgeable, assertive, and caring advocates for us. They streamlined the process as much as possible. Norms entire team is awesome, but to say that Julie Ann went above and beyond is a drastic understatement, not only through an extended and complex closing process, but even offering to assist afterwards. Although they simultaneously were working with many clients, both Norm and Julie Ann always made us feel as though getting us happily into our new home was their utmost priority, AND they have the knowledge, motivation, and connections to make that happen.

He showed me a house a few weeks ago and I've never had so much fun at a showing.... no pressure, no gas lighting, no excuses, just valuable information presented in a professional and friendly manner. Review When deciding to list this property for sale, I initially wanted to sell the property without an agent. Honestly, my past experience with agents was quite underwhelming and seemed like something I could handle myself. However - after much consideration and discussion, my wife and I decided not to sell this home ourselves. We proceeded to hire an agent, but went into the process with a discerning eye in effort to avoid another disappointing experience. So rather than hiring that friend who is an agent, or picking that agent who seems like a nice person - we went into this with an "all business" mindset, and got started by surveying patrons in the local community for recommendations via Facebook Groups.We had several referrals, and Norm was recommended by many...so we reached out to Norm along with another agent who was also highly recommended. Through our interview process, it was suggested to list our home for $190,000 by the other agent. However, it was the same dance we had experienced in the past - nice people, but they brought nothing substantial to the table in terms of market analysis to support their suggested listing price. It was another situation of going through the motions of selling homes - no real analysis, just data with baseless assumption. Then we interviewed Norm...and this experience was different - he prepared an entire presentation that broke down his method to analyzing the market and provided real support for our listing price...which happened to be $219,950. In addition, we discussed various "what-if" scenarios on market reaction. This meeting was far more strategic towards the goal of maximizing the ROI that could be extracted from the sale of this property. This made the decision simple - go with Norm! So we did......and yes, Norm was very professional, genuinely nice, and easy to work with throughout the process - which don't get me wrong, that's important...but nice doesn't sell homes or realize maximum return on investment. Our home not only sold on the first day of listing, but we got our full asking price of $219,950. Looking back, I realized a few things...1.) Hiring the other agent could've potentially cost us $30,000. So for those who read this review, and are considering to hire an agent - be critical over their process for determining value. Don't hire someone just because they're nice. Are they strategic and putting in the work OR are they just going through the motions? As you can see, hiring a realtor who's strategic in their execution can be well worth the investment. And I'll save you some time in this search by just going with Norm, because he hits the mark here! 2.). My perception of the home value was only worth about $190k (yes I was doing the same process as the other agent, just pulling comps and making a baseless assumption)...so had I tried to list this property myself, that's probably what I would've sold it for. So if you look at the numbers...that 6% commission (approx. $13k) generated $30k above my perceived sales price - netting $17k in additional proceeds. Plus I didn't have to deal with the hassle factor, time, and risk of screwing up the deal by doing it myself.Additional $17k in net proceeds + Hours of Saved Time - Hassle Factor and risk = no brainerThank you Norm and your team - not only did you maximize the return on investment with our home, you were incredibly professional, and made the entire process very easy!!

Review Talk about a dream team! There's no other way to say it-- Norm, Julie Ann, and Whitney are simply phenomenal at what they do. My husband and I were first time home buyers and definitely came into the game at a really difficult time with the state of the current sellers market. When a new listing would pop up, Norm was always available via text or phone call and able to set up a showing super quickly-- usually within just a few hours. My husband and I were pretty picky in terms of what we were looking for in a home and Norm was happy to take us through countless listings, even if it was just to help us learn what we *didn't* want in a house. He was obviously very knowledgeable about things to watch out for, and even steered us away from a home we thought we wanted that wasn't as shiny and great as it appeared-- He is not out for a commission, but truly wants you to be happy in your home. We were out of town when a beautiful house came on the market and he was able to do a video walk-through with us and we felt so comfortable with it that we ended up making an offer from out of state (and, we got it-- yay!). If we didn't trust Norm so much that never would have been possible. Once our offer was accepted, Julie Ann and Whitney were so attentive and helpful with keeping us on track and making sure we did everything needed to get to closing day on time. When we were first in touch he called and spent nearly 45 mins asking questions about our housing needs, hobbies, and so on..What I was most impressed with was his professionalism and knowledge. Review We recently sold a home with Norm and his team. The experience was fantastic, could not have asked for better service. When I first called the number listed, Norm answered directly and was willing to take time to answer several questions despite even knowing who I was. After this we set up a meeting. Norm came to our house to provide suggestions on what to do to sell fast and review pricing options. He was prepared with a wonderful binder full of all the info we needed to sell our home, even with a breakdown of likely fees and resulting projected proceeds. He went into so much detail regarding comps and past/recent sales. It was so organized and thoughtful. His pricing suggestion was great, even though I suggested a slightly higher sale price. He reviewed the pros and cons of this decision but was very open to my suggestion, which is what we went with. When it came time to list the house his team was so fast at getting our house out on every platform. We had 2 showings within 3 hrs of listing! Both showings wanted to make an offer so we were able to compete the offers and select the best one for us. Norm led us through that process every step of the way. After the offer was accepted the rest of his team took over. We communicated via email but we're always welcome to call. Everyone (Julie Ann and Whitney) were so responsive! The entire process was seamless and easier than I could have imagined. I wish they could have been out agents in the area we are moving too.
