ZillowVERIFIED We first spoke with Monica when we contacted her over one of her listings we drove past. We had contacted many other listings but without the guidance of a realtor. She was the first person to actually speak with us about what we were looking for in a home. Unfortunately, the home we called her about was already under contract but after just a few minutes of talking she took us under her wing.We looked at 5 houses the first day and another 5 a few days later. ZillowVERIFIED It is difficult for me to convey the extremely high level of respect and appreciation I have for Monica Shea. We are a military family who moved to the CO Springs area from Washington DC. We had no personal knowledge of the area and did all of our "house hunting" virtually. Monica was recommended to us by a family friend who moved to the area a year prior and we are so thankful she was. Monica was always available to give any and all information we requested. Once we found a home we were interested in, Monica went to the home late at night to do a virtual walk through via Facetime, pointing out all the details (positive and negative) she saw. To further complicate the process we submitted an offer just as my work took me on a trip around the world. However, this wasn't an issue at all for Monica and her staff. She catered her schedule to accommodate me in Japan, Portugal, Germany, and all sites in between. I was able to complete all the entire process while travelling and Monica made sure I had all the resources I needed, while being there at all hours to answer all my questions and assure me of each step along the way. I can't imagine our home buying process going any smoother and I attribute that solely to Monica Shea. But Monica's care for our family didn't end when the contracts were signed. Monica made sure to call my wife and answer all her questions about the area where we purchased; everything from schools to hair salons. Additionally, once we arrived and moved into our home, Monica arrived to greet us with a happy smile and a wonderful welcome basket. Amazing right? Well it doesn't stop there. Months after we were settled, Monica treated our entire family to an all expense paid night at the ballpark, just to say thank you...she was saying thank you to us? I ended up going with USAA just because of the money, but that was one of the biggest regrets of my home buying experience. After seeing Monica help my sister buy a home, I am very regretful that I did not use her. She knows her homes, how to negotiate and has an awesome personality that is very easy to get along with. She dealt with a client (me) who wanted to be as hands off as possible in the purchase, and have her deal with the selling agents in my stead. Also the selling agents were...well lets just say difficult, and lacked knowledge regarding the home I was trying to purchase, and despite these difficulties she maintained a professional demeanor and fought on my behalf. Even if she was going to be unavailable for a day, she would make sure that I had an alternative point of contact if I need it. FYI, that was Ryan Shea and he was excellent also.
