And so when we chose to work with Mara Avery, not only did she answer every single question I had, she came with a TEAM of ladies that made the entire process worth it for me. From staging to amazing social media coverage and the most beautiful and incredible marketing video. She came fully prepared and knowledgeable of the market and priced my house to sell for every penny it was worth. And that showed because after 2 weekends of open houses, we had an offer that we couldn't say no to!! And once the offer process started she handled everything so seamlessly and professionally, the only thing I had to worry about was packing and moving out. Once we moved out and was on the road she was still working for me and buttoning up all the little things that would have been super stressful to handle while heading across the states. Mara and her team are absolutely go getters, and truly work hard on negotiating what's best for her clients. Do your homework and look and a see what's out there, but I promise Mara's hard work speaks for itself! Remember, my house was listed for 12 days and received an offer. That's not always the case, but the fact it did shows she knows what she's doing!

Starting with the initial meeting, through the day of closing, Mara and her team were there to offer guidance and support far beyond what was expected. At the initial meeting Mara walked us through every step in the process explaining our role, their role with total transparency on what to expect, an optimal asking price and all the costs. It was crystal clear who does what and a detailed time line of actions to get to market in the shortest possible time frame. We were initially intending on interviewing several real estate sale organizations but it was obvious after our first meeting that we needed to look no further. This is our eighth time selling a home, and from past experience there was no doubt that Mara Avery Real Estate checked all the boxes and more. Once we completed our preparatory role of emptying, cleaning and repairs, Maras team immediately kicked into gear. Their team delivered professional staging, created an impressive photo and video portfolio then presented on every platform known to man. Market conditions were not favoring the seller at the time of our listing, despite that we had a mutually accepted offer within 8 days of listing and closed just 21 days after that. Yes, we felt lucky that we had struck gold instantly but was it luck? No luck at all, it was the impressive presentation and massive exposure delivered by Maras team that connected the scarce buyer with our offering. Following the initial offer, Mara and her team provided valuable guidance on all of the niggly details including working directly with the title company and buyers agent which included negotiating adjustments that were in our best interests. From beginning to end she answered all our questions, showed us every home we inquired about (and it was many) even if it meant driving from Stanwood to Granit Falls in the same afternoon. She wasn't happy until we were. We had a few hiccups along the way (no fault of Mara or her team) and she always remained positive and reassured us that our home was out there just waiting for us. At the beginning of our journey we had been preapproved through a lender and Mara noticed that our closing costs seems a little high (about $10k higher than normal) so she put us in touch with a lender that she works with often and we were shocked when we saw the numbers from the new lender. Mara and her team saved us $10k in closing costs by using her intuition and alerting us to something that seemed off and we are forever grateful.
