ZillowVERIFIED I started my sale process in March of 2020 very impressed with the battle plan offered by Larry and John Norman. They were helpful in getting contractors to make repairs to a townhouse that had been rented and left in poor aesthetic condition. They first represented to me that repairs could be made and paid for at closing. As COVID dragged on and viewings were slow, I had to pay for the repairs. I sent several emails to John that were unreturned and phone messages to Larry during this time that were unreturned. In several instances, I felt like I had to prompt John on what needed to be done to prepare the home for showing. This is when I began to become disillusioned with the lack of communication and the inconsistent reports. There were several showings where it was presented that a contract was imminent, but I had to keep following up to check on the status. When an offer was received, I did not feel that John did much for negotiation other than to pass information back and forth. I felt like all concessions were made on my part. In the final days of the loan process after I made a complaint due to the inadequacy of updates, Whitney took over communications and was exceptional at follow up. Due to problems with an FHA closing and lack of follow up, the townhouse closed on July 24 when I had anticipated a closing in late May or early June. I was disappointed with the lack of follow up, unclear communications, and errors during this process. Due to a "typo", the settlement agent that I had been informed would do the closing was disengaged and someone that I had not been informed of took over the process. Closing was unsettled and unclear up to the day before it occurred. Finally, after all that, I have not received one "thank you" or follow up from Larry and John after the sale. I put my trust in them and do not feel that I was treated well due to the extreme lack of communication. They got their money and they failed to make me feel like a partner or a worthwhile customer in the process.
