    Answered Questions

What is the difference btwn realtor and real estate agent?

Tim, The only real difference is that a Realtor is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and must comply with at code of ethics and take ethics training periodically. All real estate agents do not have to be members of NAR, but most are members.

How should I price my house for sale?

Hi Gill, Great question. You should use a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) from a Realtor to help you price your home. The CMA will include comparable properties that are listed, sold and/or under contract. The sold listing will tell you what similar homes have sold for in your area. You should price your home within the range of the sold homes, factoring in the features, benefits and condition of your home, relative to the sold homes. The Realtor who provided the CMA can provide guidance in analyzing the CMA. Also, if you like the Realtor and trust that they can help you sell it, you should list you home with them. I hope this helps!

Should I buy a house with cash?

Hello Taylor I would not recommend using all of you cash. You might need some cash in an emergency or if an unexpected expense arises. Consider putting down a significant deposit and financing the rest. You can always pay it off early over a period of time instead of paying for it all at once. Good luck!

What would be my options to sell ?

Viviana, You should contact a local Realtor to help you determine the current value of the house and evaluate if you have enough equity to sell without taking a loss or having to do a short sale.

The proposed contract with a comm'l realtor seems ?

Eric, You should discuss your concerns with the broker and request a shorter term. In my experience, commercial properties generally take longer to sell than residential, but there are always exceptions. Good luck!
