Having gone through three realtors prior to fortuitously running into Mike, I can accurately attest that Mike DeAngelis is the best realtor. He performed all the standard actions every realtor does: set up automated searches for me, took me to tour homes, answered questions I had, so what makes him different? 1. He showed a genuine interest in helping me find a place where I would actually be happy. When he noticed something he thought I wouldnt love, hed ask open-ended questions to get me to realize that in the long run, maybe not the best fit. After seeing plenty of homes, I was worried I wouldnt be able to find aEURoethe oneaEUR? and Id be letting him down more so than myselfaEUR"it was as if he wanted me to be happy more than I did. 2. He didnt encourage me to settleaEUR"never once did he say, aEURoewithin your budget, this is probably the best youll find,aEUR? which honestly would have been a reasonable statement several times during the process. 3. He was always available to answer my questions (and I had A LOT of questions as a first-time homebuyer). 4. He helped me effectively low-ball my offer AND negotiate some cash back at closing. 5. Of all the realtors I know of (via friends and family who have purchased homes), he is the only realtor who promotes negotiation with every provider contributing to closing costs, resulting in reduced fees and, ultimately for me, $5k less due at closing. 6. Most importantly, during my super swift, 11-day closing, someone tried to discourage my purchase, which caused me to doubt my decision and gave me a ton of anxiety (I am not the type to hyperventilate, but I was close). Mike immediately called me and talked to me for nearly an hour, helping me to assess my wants without external forces weighing in. I am so grateful I worked with MikeaEUR"he honestly wanted what was best for me (not his wallet) and it totally showed. Could not have been happier with Mike DeAngelis, his expertise, and his support. Highly, highly recommend.
