ZillowVERIFIED My family moved to Tallahassee at the end of 2012, and have been renting for 4 years. We loved the area we were renting in, and wanted to buy a home in the same area. What made the situation tricky was the area zoned for the middle school my child was already attending was limited, often with homes listing for more than we could afford. Jeff listened, asked very good questions to get a profile of what we were looking for, and took several steps. First, he showed us some properties immediately to see if they fit our descriptions. He also signed us up for automatic emails if a new property that fit our criteria was available. Lastly, he was very flexible in working with our schedules to view homes since I am often out of town during the week. If we had a question, he let us know the timeline of when to expect his response, and gave us a checklist of his homework and ours. When visiting the homes, it was very clear that he had many years of experience as he would notice things about the home (good or bad) that I would miss. I could not have been happier working with Jeff, and would not hesitate for a moment to recommend him to friends, family or strangers alike. From the first phone call I placed to Jeff, I knew he was the realtor for us. He gave me his undivided attention, explaining how the process works, making recommendations and answering ALL the questions I had. Jeff set us up with MLS notifications immediately and the search was on. We were quick to notify Jeff when something came along that caught our eye... he was just as quick to set up the showings and to inform us of listing he thought we may be interested in. Jeff always arrived on time and was prepared. He was sure to point out the positive and negative characteristics of each property. He was knowledgeable about Tallahassee, the neighborhoods, school zones, etc. He was able to point out things we wouldn't have seen or known without his expertise. We began negotiating on a foreclosed property; Jeff easily explained the confusing literature from the "seller" and step by step took us through the process keeping our interests most important. As we began to see that this property may not be the one for us, we recieved an MLS notification on the house we now call home. We quickly called Jeff on Sunday evening, the day the property was listed. We met for the showing on Monday and as soon as we walked through the door we knew this was the one. Jeff provided all the necessary details and educated us on the property further sealing the deal. We worked together to come up with the perfect offer that Jeff submitted. Tuesday morning we were presented with a counter offer that more than met our needs. After excepting the counter offer, the rest was history. We were under contract less than 72 hours of the property being listed. Jeff set up all necessary appointments and step by step walked us through the home buying experience. He was always professional, always very pleasant, personable and knowledgeable and ALWAYS KEPT OUR INTERESTS MOST IMPORTANT. Through the process and especially at closing, we realized Jeff how well known and respected in our community. He listens to what your needs and wants are and does everything in his power to help you realize them. He responds back to you almost immediately and always kept us up to date on what was going on once we entered the buying process. What I loved the most was that when showing you a house he walked around with you and pointed out any concerns about the house, structurally, signs of water damage etc., as well as the positives.
