He grew up in the area so knows the area very well and gives honest advice. You give him a budget and he never tried to up sell me. I think the winning factor was during one of the home showings my car battery died. We attempted to jump start it but failed. He ended up giving me a ride to Les Schwab to get a new battery and helped me install it. You cannot ask for better service than that!

He got them set up with an email listing of houses that fit my criteria right away and was on the lookout for others that might fit my needs. I had found a listing for a house that I really loved and he was the listing agent for. While I had planned on obtaining a buyers agent to represent me, it turned out that the person I'd planned on contacting was also repping the house that I wanted. He was responsive to my concerns of having one agent handle the sale and purchase, but was nothing but professional and even handed during the entire transaction. I feel that all parties were able to walk away with what we were asking for and I never felt slighted in the process. Jason also advised me on different types of inspections to have done prior to purchase, which saved me time, effort and money down the road. ZillowVERIFIED Real estate is somewhat interesting because typically, as a potential buyer, you as buyer perform the bulk of the legwork researching properties, etc. You either use a Real Estate Agent to represent you as a buyer to access and view MLS properties, or as a Listing Agent to represent you in advertising and selling your property. Jason represented us a potential buyers.Jason is somewhat new to the Real Estate game. He is responsive and works hard. However, I suspect he'll be the first to admit that he has a lot yet to learn...especially in dealing with peers in the Real Estate realm.Our experience with several Listing Agents on homes Jason arranged for us to see was that the Listing Agents were totally worthless. In one case, they were less than honest re: development limitations associated with the property. In the case of the home we purchased, the Listing Agent failed to communicate and counsel the seller about the realities of selling a home in this day and age. Granted, the seller was difficult to deal with, but the lack of communication was ridiculous. What made the situation even worse, and where I down grade Jason, is that the Listing agent was in the same office...and the lack of "cohesiveness" and "team play" was inexcusable. It made the closing process (well, the whole process actually) difficult and stressful, and nearly ruined the sale.Despite that, and we hope Jason learns from this experience, he was responsive to representing our interests as potential purchasers. As is the norm in these things, buyers need to do their own due diligence. As we did our due diligence, we requested Jason track-down information. He typically performed well. And he also made some good recommendations about where to track-down additional information or acquire services to glean additional information.Having bought and sold several properties over the years from city residential to rural farm properties, I tried to sort of "mentor" Jason as to what potential buyers expect in terms of information re: the property they are investigating. I tried to suggest that attention to detail and understanding the folks he represents, and then anticipating what type of information they desire (re: a property) will go a long way towards setting him apart from so many of the poor real estate agents out there (and we ran across quite a few "lazy" and unresponsive agents in this most recent process) , and making him successful in his chosen field.I would recommend Jason as he is "hungry", works hard, is responsive, and wants to be a successful Real Estate Agent. That desire sets him apart from many of the agents working in the field. As with all things real estate, one must temper expectations with reality, and clearly define expectations to all involved in the process.
