Edna is fantastic! We have purchased and sold multiple single family homes in our lifetime and Edna was BY FAR the most masterful agent we've had the privilege to work with. She was on top of every aspect of our purchase. From the time we contacted her until we purchased she meticulously walked us through every step. We were purchasing from out of the area and she had to work with our travel schedule for in-person showings but always found a way to show us properties via video when not in the area. She is extremely knowledgeable about the area and took the time to understand our needs and desires to show us homes that were within our price range and desired location. Edna went above and beyond for us multiple times. She helped us go through our home room by room with any fixes or ideas to make a sale quickly. She always texted us each time a potential buyer toured our home with all the comments and any suggestions. She communicated with us on a daily basis to keep us updated. She was also very helpful to us in negotiating contracts/offers. She always returned our phone calls, emails and text in a very timely manner if we had any questions or comments. Edna provided us great service in selling our lake home including encouraging us to set a price much higher than we had planned to and we obtained that price. She coordinated with the purchasers' broker and walked us though every step from home preparation, showings, offer acceptance and settlement. Couldn't have been better..

How many homes should I look at before purchasing one?

Hi Marlene. I have had clients that I have shown 1 home to and it was "the one for them"! I have had clients that looked at more homes than I can count until they found "The one for them". I tell my customers, I am very patient. We all know what is just right for us and you will know it when you see it! I don't think you should put a minimum or maximum on yourself, unless your in a dire situation and need to find a home right away, I think you should see as many as it takes. (Tho the pickings can be slim right now) . Wishing you the very best of luck in your searches!

Is it necessary to hire a real estate agent?

Hi Marlene. I believe you are a buyer. If that's the case, in our area anyway, the seller pays for Realtor fees. No cost here to the buyer. I do think you are much better off using a Realtor who knows the areas, knows values, knows flags to look for and can guide you through not just the offer and purchase agreements, through all the steps between that and your closing day.
