One transaction that stands out involved close friends who had relocated to New Zealand. They initially planned to keep their Seattle area home as a rental, but over time decided selling was the right move. The challenge was managing everything from the other side of the world. We had an honest conversation about their concerns, especially the stress of coordinating a sale from thousands of miles away. Once they chose to trust me with the process, I took full responsibility for managing every detail. Because of tenant timing, we ended up preparing and launching the home just two weeks before Christmas, which is not typically an ideal window in our market. I coordinated the home being vacated, oversaw repairs and inspection items, managed vendors, and ensured the property was fully prepared before going live. Despite the timing, the home showed beautifully. We had more than 50 groups through in four days and received multiple offers. It ultimately sold in just four days, which was a strong outcome for mid December. The most meaningful part was the relief they felt knowing everything was handled carefully while they were abroad. Being trusted to manage that level of responsibility and delivering a successful result was incredibly rewarding.
