1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Buying a home is one of the biggest financial and personal decisions you’ll make, so preparation is key. My top advice is to get pre-approved early so you know your budget and can move quickly when the right home comes along. Be clear on your “must-haves” versus “nice-to-haves,” but also stay flexible, sometimes the perfect home looks different than what you imagined. Work with a trusted agent who understands your goals, advocates for you, and keeps you informed at every step. Finally, remember it’s not just about buying a house, it’s about finding the right home and investment for your future.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
First impressions matter, both online and in person. My advice is to prepare your home by decluttering, staging, and addressing small repairs so it shows at its best. Pricing is just as important. Homes priced right from the start attract more buyers and stronger offers. Finally, work with a skilled Realtor who understands the market, has a strong marketing strategy, and can negotiate to get you the best results.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients, from first-time homebuyers to move up buyers and sellers, to seasoned investors and luxury sellers. I also regularly assist clients relocating to Atlanta who need a knowledgeable guide to the city’s neighborhoods. Whether someone is buying their very first condo, selling a longtime family home, or building a real estate portfolio, I tailor my approach to their unique goals and provide personalized, concierge-style service.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
One recent transaction that stands out was helping a young family relocating to Atlanta find their first home. They had a tight timeline and specific needs for schools and neighborhood amenities. By narrowing the search quickly and negotiating strategically, we secured their dream home in a competitive market. Seeing their excitement on closing day and knowing I helped make their transition smoother was incredibly rewarding.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I began my real estate career in 2011 working closely with an investor. That experience gave me a strong foundation in understanding the market, negotiating deals, and recognizing value. Over time, I expanded my business to serve a wide range of clients and eventually co-founded the Level Up Real Estate Team, which has grown into one of the top-performing teams in Atlanta.

What a crazy market!! We made offers on 3 properties and were out bid on all 3 to multiple offer situations. Enter Mark Barry!! The home that we purchased was yet another multiple offer situation. I was told by the sellers agent after closing, that we countered the same amount as another potential buyer. The agent told me that the reason we got the house, was simply because "they liked Mark better" as he was respectful and easy to work with.
