How long does a seller have to respond to my offer?

I agree with Daniel - depends on your local market. Here in Indiana is typically 24 hours or less, depending on the time of day you write the offer. If it can be presented in the morning, I see plenty with a deadline of 8 or 9PM the same day. Ask your agent what it typical in your area!

Your best bet is to get pre-approved with a Lender. They will take the necessary steps to check your credit, income and expenses and let you know what you qualify for and if you need to work on your DTI Ratio (Debt to Income.) Different loan programs have different rules and your lender is your best resource!
