We wanted to see a house listed on Zillow, and when we submitted our information, Adam was the one to call us about it. From the beginning, Adam was polite and professional, but also relaxed and relatable. At the first house he showed us, we were surprised and impressed that he pointed out defects of the house that were cause for concern. Some of our background info: We are a married, middle-aged couple with grown children with the last about to leave the nest. Our current house of 22 years was paid off, so we were in no hurry or pressure to buy a house. We were simply beginning the process of looking for a new house for the next chapter in our lives - one to not be raising a family in but to enjoy our "post-kid" years, with some of the amenities we were unable to afford while dealing with the expense of providing for a family.Over the next several months, we would contact Adam anytime that we found a house that we wanted to look at or wanted a second look at after an Open House. He was always quick to respond and flexible in setting up meeting times at the properties we wanted to see. We communicated mainly through texts, which worked well for the ability to send a message and check his response later.At no time during any of our viewings did we ever feel any pressure from Adam to "do something" - on the contrary, he was quick to point out flaws and issues with the properties we viewed, and gave us good, solid reasons as to why we should keep looking.When we toured the house we ultimately purchased at an Open House, we realized that it had 99% of everything we were looking for. When Adam showed us the house later that week, he knew that we'd found the one we were looking for. He was very helpful in laying out a strategy for making an offer, and patiently listened to and answered all of our questions. He may deal with house sales all of the time, but this was only our second - and he never made us feel like any of our questions were silly or that we were wasting his time.Things moved fast, and the negotiation process we started in the morning was completed at 9 o'clock that night. Adam had no problem working the late hours to get the deal done, which we greatly appreciate.The subsequent weeks brought all of the typical things: house inspection, bank logistics, etc., and Adam and his assistant were there to help guide us through it. We feel that he helped us to buy our Dream Home, and for that we are grateful.Ultimately, we have been very happy with Adam's performance as our Realtor; enough that we plan to use him when we put our old house on the market in the near future.Adam was polite, honest. prompt, humorous when appropriate and serious when needed, and above all, a professional. We had such a better experience with him than we did with our first realtor 22 years ago, that he renewed our faith and raised our opinions of realtors. We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a realtor in the Springfield, IL and surrounding areas.
