My husband and I were living out of state when we placed our home on the market. Amy has stepped in as our representative to handle all of the issues that have come up in making the sale. She has spent many early mornings and late afternoons doing things at our home that made the sale possible.

In a very bold move during the beginning of COVID-19, we put our house up for sale with Amy and Vic Petrenko. Knowing what a troubling time it was, our expectations of selling quickly were nonexistent. Much to our surprise and to the excellent marketing abilities of the Petrenkos' we had an offer within 5 days. With the guidance of Vic and Amy, we soon had a contract and a very smooth closing. Without, their expert knowledge and the kindness they afforded us in this trying time, we would not be settled in our new home that they also helped us procure at The Watermark Lake Norman.

I retired, so we wanted to downsize from our large house which we owned for 8 years, which had a good amount of land in a nice spot in Davidson. To meet buyer expectations, with Vic snd Amy's advice and reccomended contractors, we repainted the interior, refinished the floors and repaired cosmetic damage. We sold the house empty with virtual staging so that buyers could see their own vision of the house. We chose not to update the kitchen and master bath, which are frequent remodelling goals for buyers. Instead we priced the house below market to adjust. Vic and Amy found a buyer looking to remodel. Our final buyer plans to delete interior columns, replace carpet with hardwood, and add an in-ground pool. Vic and Amy found us a new home in a nearby town in a beautiful development that was very affordable. They managed a smooth and harmonious dual closing so that we were out of the old house and into the new on same day. We are very happy with the trade and are enjoying our new home immensely.

I first started out trying to help my New York-based elderly mother find a very small home near us in the Lake Norman area. Amy was the only realtor out of the numerous ones I contacted who kept in touch with my mother, and sent her listings regularly over the course of months. When circumstances changed and my husband and I decided to sell our own Lake Norman home, we had no doubt whom to call. Amy and Vic blew us away with their level of knowledge, professionalism, attention-to-detail, class, patience, and kindness. They know the market and area well from experience, but also use the most up-to-date, computerized tools in order to ground their opinions in data, something my husband and I appreciated. We needed renovations done, so they brought in a top-notch team for that. I didn't have to take time off from work to agonize over color schemes, tile choices, sink choices, etc. - Amy handled it all like a pro. When the listing finally went live, we had hundreds of thousands of views. Multiple buyers flew in from out of state to see our home. In the end, we were able to choose from 3 competing offers. We have bought and sold several properties over the last two decades and never before had such a seamless and elevated experience of professionalism from a broker. We dealt mostly with Amy and she was always smart, principled, good-humored and completely unflappable when dealing with our anxious questions and emotional texts. She is very organized and hard-working - I know we were not her only client but she was somehow always able to give us personalized attention. She found us our new home very quickly, such that we were able to close on the sale of our old home, and the purchase of our new home on the same day. We are extremely grateful for everything she and Vic have done for us. When (and if) my mother is finally ready to move down to NC to be near us, I trust only Amy and Vic to take the best care of her.
