Close your eyes and imagine your dream home. Ok now imagine that you have a list of 28 additional wants or needs. Then remind yourself of your price range. That's a pretty small needle in a pretty large haystack. Now try to find an agent to drive literally from one side of the state to the other to show you homes (who actually answers their phone) and waits while you spend 10 times the average amount of time looking at each one, measuring it and taking photos. It gets better. After months of intensive searching, discouragement and tears, somewhere The War of Roses is playing out, and out of the blue, a divorce forces sale and you finally find the needle in the haystack dream property that meets 100% of your 28 criteria. You pounce and your offer is accepted. Only problem is you have to sell your property first before you can close on it and you have to sell it by your closing date which is only a month away, by two sellers who aren't even talking to one another. THEN... everything that could go wrong with the house you're selling, does go wrong, and it quickly turns into a nightmare. That was the exact situation I was in and as clichA(C) as it may sound to use the term "dream property" it really is the case. I have to pinch myself because I'm expecting to wake up and find out it was all just a dream. I'll never forget one of my first conversations with Taylor when I explained what I was looking for not believing I'd ever find anything remotely close to it and he said "we'll find it." He had a lot of optimism and patience for dealing with my challenges and talked me off the ledge just about every day by phone when something else sprung a leak and I needed to get it fixed. The stress of having my dream home on the line was really too much for me to handle and I don't think I would have been able to get this done without his help or with a less responsive agent.I'll also never forget one of the first properties we looked at where the mountain road collapsed underneath my wheels and he had to tow me out. Then there was another property that wasn't really for sale but some scammer somehow put it on the market. Then the countless properties that went under contract before we had an appointment to see them.He eagerly went above and beyond with selling my house doing 2 open houses. To say this was an adventure is an understatement. This process definitely could have gone a little smoother and I ended up with PTSD from it all, but the timing turned out perfect and it was worth it in the end. I know that my somewhat unique circumstances provided Taylor with even more valuable experience that could end up helping you.
